What's in Your Mind? Your questions
At the Back of My Mind - Next month's newsletter

It seems that just yesterday we were sun tanning on the Mediterranean and poof!... suddenly it is Christmas! Almost time to think of those New Year resolutions. If you are planning to change a habit, maybe hypnosis can help. Take a look at my hypnosis products.

Since Winter is a time when some creatures are hibernating, this newsletter focuses on sleep and what you can do when sleep does not come. It also encourages you to let go...

As always, don't hesitate to drop me a line about this newsletter or the previous ones. Back issues can be found here.

Way of the Mind's Article: When Mr. Sandman does not come
Sleep problem? While the following tips won't solve your sleep problem entirely, they may help decrease it. The clock says 2:30 a.m. Everything is quiet. Everyone is asleep. Everyone, but you. You are wide awake and thinking that you have to get up in just... four hours. What to do?
Feeling that you haven't slept at all
Sometimes you have the feeling you haven't slept at all, when you have actually been sleeping lightly. Even if you are not sound asleep, your body is still getting some rest and you won't be as tired in the morning as if you had been up all night.
Sleep cycles explained
About every 90 minutes to two hours, your body starts a new sleep cycle, and you feel sleepy. At that point, you can either fall asleep - first lightly then deeply - or wake up and stay wide awake. While waiting for the next cycle, it may be useful to get up and use this time productively (read, watch TV, do the dishes, write poetry, etc.). Sometimes being awake in bed in the middle of the night leads to obsessive thinking, which usually disappears in the morning. Activity gets rid of the obsession.

Mind Boggling
Facetious and abstemious contain all the vowels in the correct order, as does arsenious, meaning "containing arsenic."

Subconscious Mind Featured Product
Letting Go, A Healing Journey through Symbols and Imagery
This healing journey will take you to a meadow, a mountain, a forest, and different places selected for the symbols they represent in our psyche. Without actually identifying any problem in your life, you will be able to deal with them with images, letting go of the emotions attached to them without having to bring them out. Letting Go is a therapeutic session that is both enjoyable and unobtrusive.
